Description
WHY THIS SUBJECT? Amidst the covid19 pandemic, a lot of the flaws of capitalism that already existed have been brought to the surface. I think it is important to address capitalism as a root for other issues and causes, because until we do, these issues will just keep persisting.
WHAT SHOULD WE KNOW ABOUT THE WORK? I wanted the piece to resemble a 1950's/60's advertisement, since that is arguably the era that capitalism really took over our country for the worse. The color scheme, soup can, and all the different hidden details are meant to exaggerate capitalism's flaws.
WHAT WAS YOUR PROCESS? I created this piece digitally on my iPad using the app Procreate. I started with a sketch, made lineart, and finally colored the poster.
