The Plumed Serpent is a symphonic piece for orchestra and jazz soloists composed by Doug Lofstrom in 1982. It is a mythical history of Mexico and contains ancient and modern Latin-American rhythms and jazz improvisations; the work was premiered by Symphony of the Shores.

The piece is in four movements to be played continuously, and the duration is 25 minutes, including the jazz solos for soprano sax (or trumpet/flugelhorn), piano, bass, and drums.
