CC Writer was the first student newspaper at Columbia College Chicago, published in November 1973. The first issue of The Columbia Chronicle, which replaced CC Writer, was published on October 31, 1978, and has since delivered campus, local, national, and international news weekly to the Columbia community during the academic year (September through May). It is written, photographed, and edited by current students of the College and has received many prestigious awards from journalism associations and competitions. In 2022, The Columbia Chronicle became a daily online news organization, publishing four issues each year and offering daily articles, online podcasts, and multimedia material. Current editions and online content are found on the Columbia Chronicle website.
