These oral histories were conducted in collaboration with the donors to the Chicago Anti-Apartheid Movement Collections, and include interviews chronicling the work of Chicago activists engaged in the struggle against apartheid in Southern Africa. These interviews support the Chicago Anti-Apartheid Movement special collections holdings at the college.

Columbia College Chicago students conducted these oral histories during the Spring 2009, Fall 2009, and Spring 2010 semesters for the course, Oral History: The Art of the Interview taught by Dr. Erin McCarthy. More student-conducted interviews are found on the Oral History Interviews page. This collection includes interviews with members of the Chicago community who participated in local protest organizations against the apartheid movement in Africa.

This project was completed in support of the Chicago Anti-Apartheid Movement Collection, housed within the College Archives & Special Collections department of Columbia College Chicago
