Members of Phi Sigma held their first camping trip in July 1890 at Dr. Walter M. Fitch's cottage in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. Mary I. Lyman's document chronicles the History of this trip as a short story. By 1891, the group was officially incorporated as the Phi Sigma Camping Club, shown by the Articles of Association.
