Description
This project information background describes the Jamesie: King of Scratch documentary and includes a history of scratch band music of the Caribbean, especially as practiced by Jamesie in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. It also describes the production personnel, the scholars and tradition bearers involved, the film venues where the documentary would be screened, and plans for the upcoming study guide to assist in classroom use.
