The End Conscription Campaign (ECC) was formed in 1983 as an anti-apartheid organization against the compulsory military service of white men in the South African Defense Force (SADF). The ECC mobilized support for its campaigns, proposed service alternatives, supported conscientious objectors, and provided a forum for the public with information and education on conscription and the alternatives.
